Based in Providence, Rhode Island, DARE organizes low income families in communities of color for social, political, and economic justice. We do this by building a strong multiracial, multilingual membership base that conducts direct action organizing campaigns, does deliberate leadership development, and contributes to larger social justice building movements. Our current campaigns focus on justice reinvestment (moving resources out of prisons and into social services), challenging the gentrification of our communities, and engaging youth and parents to work for better education.
