MOM is a member-led organization in the South Bronx building a society rooted in the values of equity, democracy, justice, and community. We research, strategize, and carry out campaigns to win immediate victories with concrete improvements in quality of life, even while addressing the policies and root causes of inequality. MOM is a movement catalyst, constructing & participating in alliances that leverage expanded power for social justice organizations. Founded in 1992 by mothers seeking educational equality for their children, MOM currently hosts committees for Housing, Youth, and Environmental Justice.
