Social housing can include publicly owned housing, community land trusts, cooperatives, resident-owned mobile home communities, and other community-led models where housing is treated like a public good instead of a profit machine.
Housing should provide dignity, stability, and belonging — not endless opportunities for corporate profit. Because housing is a human right, social housing should prioritize the people most impacted by the housing crisis—not the people most able to pay.
